Snow, an irony

The driving snow destroys life, and turns the ground cold death- like steel. dead lifeless trees slowly break away and dogs bard and whine over the frozen hopelessness and death. Accidents are a frequent occurence on the road, for black ice causes cars to slip and swerve in attempts to delay them from their destination. I can only wonder how the falling of these once beautiful white crystals, delighting children, can turn into this scene of death. Snow causes power to go out, so I walk into the dark pit in the ground that is my basement to grab candles. I hate the basement. Objects cast evil looking shadows in whatever little light there is down in here. In the dark you can mistake anything as something much worse. Your imagination runs wild down here, but it drives you crazy. As i walk back up I can't help but wonder how anyone caught out there would definitely meet their fate in the driving snow. Night falls quickly, about as quickly as it can, and outside it's a starless night but a full moon pokes its face in between the gusts of swirling white. So dark that you can not see; only hope and listen to the angry weather, pounding, trying to get into my home. I stack blankets on myself in a futile attempt to stay warm. All the thought that I can muster tells me that if I make it through this winter, this blizzard (not likely) I need to move to somewhere warm. Although with earsplitting crack, the walls begin to give way to the storm.

Badger Game Journal Post

The sea of red shirts move up and down quickly. I scream just to hear myself scream. Ryan texts while jumping. He puts away his cell phone and begins to scream too. College kids swear and run around drunkenly. It's the end of the third quarter. Jump Around time. The song blasts my ears, but I love it. In a ninja sense, I have become one with the school spirit. The song ends and the fourth quarter begins. Back to the badgers victory.

Also yesterday my select basketball team and I got to go see the Badgers basketball team practice. It was amazing. They had a seven foot tall guy.
